I love love love this company!  I have only been with Chalky & Company since August but I feel like I am part of a family and have felt that way since I joined.  This group has been so very welcoming and supportive.  It is refreshing to be a part of company that thrives on helping, educating and boosting each other in every way that they can.  My second month with Chalky I earned a sales award and when opening my party order package the other day I found this inside.  It made my day!  I had already earned a product credit for my high sales but I didn't know that this little cutie would be arriving in the mail.  I was so excited to find it hiding among our treasure chest boxes!  I can't wait to paint, stain, and/or wax this little guy.  Now I just have to decide what color(s) to use!

Chalky & CO Furniture Workshop

I am so very excited to be having my first furniture workshop with Chalky & Company.  The first time that I was introduced to Chalky was at a furniture workshop where I painted the rocking horse that I received for my 2nd birthday.  I love how it turned out and love that my girls will be able to enjoy it now too.  

Chalky & Company offers 3 different furniture workshop bundles.  You can use these products to restore or repaint a piece of furniture at the workshop event and on many other items afterwards.  

Here are a few pictures of items that other Chalky & Company consultants have painted.  Our products make restoring or repainting furniture easy and fun; little to no prep work is required and the products are easy to use.  Our paints contain no VOCs so it can be used indoors.

Beer + Wine + Chalky= BEST Date Night Ever!

Creativity with Chalky kits

I know that I am always saying that you don't have to be creative or wicked talented with a paint brush to host or attend Chalky & Company parties because the kits are all so user friendly.  That is still very true!  However, that doesn't mean that you can't get super creative with these kits if you want to!  

A fellow Chalky consultant posted the images above to our consultant Facebook page and I love them.  How awesome is it that you can use 1 item (Ajar or Preserve Love {same shape different size}) to paint these 3 different ways?  I'm sure there are many other ideas out there for this kit too.  

I used the Preserve Love, a few leftover embellishment scraps and 2 of our holiday stencils to create this look...

  

I painted both sides of the kit so that I can display the Thanksgiving saying for now and then just flip it around at Christmas time!  I also added some red sparkly glitter that I had in my craft stash to the Christmas saying letters.  This is the kit I used:

Another kit that I have seen people get creative with is the super cute Front Porch Friends.   This kit was designed to be a front and back reversible kit.  It was advertised with a scarecrow on one side and a snowman on the other like the picture below. 

I love that people are putting their own personal touch on this kit though!  Here are some of the creations that I have seen:

 

I enjoy each party that I am asked to teach and I love seeing how everyone's kits turn out.  I have had parties where 4 or 5 people will all paint the same kit/item and each one will turn out differently.  I love that!  I love that we can show a little bit of ourselves and our tastes in the kits we paint.  How would you paint the Preserve Love or Front Porch Friends kits?  Contact me today to get yours!

Fundraisers!

Want a fun way to raise funds for your team, troop, group, or school?  I can help with that!  We can do kid friendly events with our super cute kids kits or our woodshop items that are a little less expensive.  

... or we can include everyone and offer all of the kits in the catalog!  You can choose 2 or 3 of your favorites and only offer those to make it easier for your customers to choose just 1.  We also have our super cute holiday items that are fun to paint.

Parties!!!

Parties are what we do!  Chalky & Company provides a painting, crafty, comfort of home, girls night, family time, diy, unique home decor, awesomely fun experience!  I love all of my customers and have fun at every party that I do.  It can be a girls night in, family fun day brunch, co-worker bonding and team building experience, or birthday party.  There are so many ways to enjoy these parties with so many different groups of people.  Everyone gets to choose their kit, paint it their way adding their personal touch and keep it in their home to display to their friends and family or give it as a gift.  I am there to help you learn about the products, techniques and to help in any way that I am able.  You don't have to be crafty or crazy talented to complete these kits.  That's the beauty of them!  Anyone can paint a great Chalky & Company kit.

My first party that I had after joining Chalky & Company was with a girlfriend of mine that I met through book club.  She sells Arbonne and so we did a party swap.  Win Win!  Her party was small; which was great!  It helped me ease into the process of being the Chalky Lady without overwhelming me.  She and her guests were so fun and their kits turned out great! It was nice quite girls night in.

My second Chalky party was... bigger!  It is actually still my biggest party to date.  My fun and spunky little sister offered to host a party.  She lives about 400 miles North of me, which seems like a long ways to travel for a party but it was worth it!  We had fun and she actually earned 2 free kits!  Another of our friends booked a show in our home town the same weekend so that it was worth it for me financially to drive all that way.  

My sister being the hostess with the mostest did a great job of making this party seamless.  She lives in a small home and had several (9) guests so she set us all up outside and decorated each table with a color/theme. She made yummy snacks and even purchased small crafts to keep the kiddos busy while the mommies painted.  We had to contend with the wonderful Wyoming wind a few times but the party was a success!

I then held a Chalky party at our amazing store with my fellow vendors/friends.  I set up right in the store and we painted while customers shopped.  Our paints contain no VOCs so they aren't stinky and can be used indoors.

I have also done a party with friends.  My girlfriend Amanda hosted a party and invited both mutual friends of ours and friends of hers that I didn't know and so I made new friends.  :-) 

 

After my party at work one of my fellow vendors booked a party with me.  We did a Sunday brunch at her house and she cooked a full breakfast for all of us.  She also served yummy mimosas! Love this lady!  It was really a ton of fun.  Her mother, daughter and grand daughter were all there plus a few friends.  It was so fun to watch 4 generations of wonderful women/girls paint and party together.  Great memories made! 

I had one hostess that purchased all of the kits for the party for her MOPS group friends as a way for them to bond and hang out outside of their usual MOPS meetings.  What a sweetie pie!  This awesome hostess also happens to by my cousin, so I got to visit with family while partying and the cousins got some baby snuggles. Bonus!

I next held a Fall themed family oriented party at our store in The Party Place.  I set up a public event on Facebook and invited everyone to come and bring their kiddos.  I purchase several wooden halloween masks at Michael's and pre-mixed several paint colors so that the kids could paint a quick inexpensive project while the moms painted their Chalky kits.  I had 4 guests purchase kits and several kiddos walk in off the street to paint masks.  3 of my girls also painted masks.  My 4 year old painted 3 of them! Family Fun!

• Grand Valley Shopping Event on November 19 from 10a-4p at the Grand Valley Activity Center in Parachute.  Again,  I will have a booth at this great craft fair with my Chalky & Company products as well as my Raspberry Hill items.
