Take Flight!  #ChalkyConvention2017

Let's talk about the amazing experience that I just had with my wonderful company: April 13, 14 & 15th, 2017 was Chalky convention in Atlanta, GA.  Let me tell you ladies and gents this was a great opportunity and I am so very glad that I was able to be a part of the fun!  I was able to meet so many wonderful women and men that I speak with on a regular basis but had never had the privilege of meeting... until now!  I learned SO MUCH about them in such a short time and was able to connect with many of them almost instantly.  We all share a common love of Chalky, family, and fun and it showed through in all of these wonderful people's personalities and actions.  We traveled together, ate together, trained together, partied together and made memories together!  I can not stress enough to any current or possible future Chalky consultants about how amazing this opportunity was and if you ever have the chance to attend a Chalky convention- DO IT!  I learned so much about party/workshop planning, the importance of recruiting the best of the best, painting tips and techniques and more.  I received so much inspiration and advice on business planning and how to be the CEO of me.  I have returned home (just in time for Easter!) with a renewed love of this company and with clear and precise goals in mind to move myself and my team forward.  I am incredibly thankful to Buffy & Dan Dumont as well as their beautiful daughter Abby, right-hand gal Meaghan and the rest of the people that made this event possible for the rest of us and will forever remember all of the hard work and planning that they put into this convention.  Thank you!

We walked into the general session room on Thursday afternoon to these beautiful tables and place settings.  Our lovely co-founder Buffy chose this years convention theme- TAKE FLIGHT.  She wants the consultants to know that, like a flock of geese, we must fly together, lift up one another and share the lead position to make flight easier for those behind us in formation.  I thought that this was a perfect analogy of how Chalky sisters work together and constantly encourage (HONK HONK like geese) each other.   I was fortunate enough to win one of these adorable center pieces on the final day of convention and will be using the little integrity colored trunk at all of my parties!

In between sessions and trainings Buffy planned some fun game show style games for all of the consultants to play and have a chance at winning Chalky Town bucks to purchase business supplies and apparel from the Chalky Town store- which Abby and her friend from college Tessa where running right in the back of the general session room!  We played Chalky Feud, Get out of the WEEEEEDDDDSSSS and minute to win it games.  There was even a championship show down of master stencil weeders Meaghan Vallee and Dan Dumont.  Dan for the WIN!!

Friday evening the chalky team leaders gathered us all in the general session room after the session ended for games, snacks and overall SHENANIGANS!  Julia Alden had us play a relay style word creating game with scrabble tiles that was a blast!  I will say that some consultants are a little more competitive than others haha! It was a great time for us all to relax and chat and enjoy our time with one another.

We also had a slumber party in the general session room complete with snacks and bed hair!

Saturday nights entertainment was professional hypnotist.  I can not even express to you all how hard I laughed and how much fun I had during this!  We had consultants on the floor jamming on air guitar, physically carrying fellow consultants out of the room for laughing too hard, and so much more!  It was incredibly fun!

Roomies!

Most of all I love the friendship and bonds formed between these ladies in just a very short period of time.  Chalky is family and I love everyone of these beautiful people!  Thanks again Buffy & Dan for sharing your love with all of us!
